As a Medical Assistant at Denver/Boulder Valley Asthma and Allergy (BVAA), you will be responsible for providing medical support to ensure efficient operation of the practice and patient care. Assisting physicians and other medical staff by performing clinical and administrative duties. We have 6 locations throughout Denver and Boulder areas.

Responsibilities
- Measure vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, pulse ox, temperature, and document in patient's chart
- Assist with and perform in-office procedures including: PFTs (Pulmonary Function Tests), Methacholine challenges, Skin Testing, Patch Testing, Food and Drug Challenges, Allergy injections, RUSH Immunotherapy, Vaccinations, Biologic injections, Skin biopsies
- Telephone triage
- Manage voicemails and patient messages
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes
- Order patient lab work
- Prepare, disinfect, and clean exam rooms
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment
- Schedule appointments
- Prepare telehealth visits for physician
- Collect personal, medical and insurance information; collect co-pays during check-in process
- Collect patient payments
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed an Accredited Medical Assistant program
- EMR knowledge
- CPR and First Aid certification
- EMR, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook
Experience (Preferred)
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
License / Certification (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
